On LFW and the big step

Today I went to London Fashion Week for for the first time. It's an experience I longed for for a very long time, and it's a little strange to post about it, especially when it has become only a small part of the greater experience of this week. Ladies and gentlemen, I have moved to London to study.

I have enrolled at London College of Fashion today to do my MA Fashion Retail course. I have a feeling this is going to be a huge inspiration for CHICLASH posts in the upcoming year and a half.

Anyway, back to LFW. I got hold of a ticket to the Jean-Pierre Braganza show at Somerset House. One of the reasons I was excited about this particular show was that the designer claimed that he was inspired by the works of a Ukrainian artist Zinaida Lihacheva. The prints on dresses actually resemled Lihacheva's works, and it was interesting to see the merge of two talents in one collection.

I didn't photograph any of the show - my battery died (yes, it was as bad as this). The collection was beautiful, though: simple shapes, geometric cuts, a mix of monochrome, coral and fresh blue. I also loved the hair: bolder and more complicated braids are going to be big again. Here are some photos from the show via Fashionising.com. You can view the collection here

I did photohunt before the start of the show, though. The atmosphere is much more relaxed than any fashion event I went to before (which left me quite surprised). I strolled around the territory among the guests and made some snapshots of the brightest looks. You can also find a shoe report on CHICLASH SHOE SHOTS.

Поздравляю! Очень здорово посетить такое мероприятие! Фотки понравились - сразу видно что люди не боятся выражаться по средствам внешнего вида.
