As I have already mentioned, I'm bad at watching movies in time. So it's only now, when the whole country has already seen it, I have watched Hipsters - a Russian version of Grease, I must add. It's a musical about the rock'n'roll lovers in USSR in 1950s. That type of music and the whole "hipster" image was socially forbidden in the Soviet Union then, so not only is this movie an explosion of dancing and love but also a story about a conflict between the "proper" youth and the "hipsters". The story, I must say, is questionable because some aspects of it differ from the reality greatly. The costumes, however, are worth seeing. I know, I know, what we see on the screen is not exactly what people wore in those days on the streets. But the mood was just like that, rebellion meant glamour, colour, not the opposite.

Take me to the movies!
Thanks to Kira at Kirafashion, I found out about Confessions of a Shopaholic just in time. I have this phenomenon about me that I'm usually the last person to find out about everything. Despite my love for fashion, which should suggest my being the first to know about anything new, I'm often late. Yes, late. It's both funny and horrible at the same time... =)
This time it wasn't too late to go out with my friends and watch the movie, as planned. I thought it was brilliant! However, I expected more from the fashion point of view, even though some outfits were quite impressive. Confessions of a Shopaholic is just what you need to have a fun girlie movie night and have a good laugh. If you haven't watched it yet, do - you will be reminded of all your shopping weakness moments. Oh, and you will probably agree that Hugh Dancy is a worthy reason of watching this movie, too.

I'm a temporary shopaholic. One day I'm indifferent, the next all I need is a new buy. I guess I'm more reasonable with how much I spend on clothes than the main character of the movie is... Still, we all have our shopping weaknesses. What's yours?

The holidays
Just to dilute all the moaning about my return to the blogging world I shall post something substantial. Here are some of my outfits from the February trips with friends to some Ukrainian towns. There was a lot of clubbing, photographing, dressing, going out and and drinking cocktails done. The classics. =) The holidays were fun, it's now very hard to get over the fact that I have to wake up early in the morning to go to uni again...
Topshop jeans and coat, Chester boots, Tie Rack scarf
Topshop tunic, unknown stockings, Zara boots, Aldo bag, H&M necklace
Honesty box
Where, where shall I start?
This post will probably contain some very interesting and confusing feelings of mine, for it took me quite a while to face the blogging world after the break I took. Yes, it was a break at first, taking into account the important exams I had to go through. Then it became something of a strange phobia of blogging - I couldn't even enter my blogger account and read the comments or comment others' posts. This phenomenon I cannot really explain. I get a similar feeling when I take a break from dancing and then watch someone dance on the TV - it's not exactly jealousy but a yearning of being there on that dancefloor wheich makes me crave returning back to the sport. So now, having gone through a period of escaping from the blogging world I am back, not with promises, but with new ideas and determination to bring CHICLASH back to life.
I have missed sharing ideas with all of you. And please forgive my lack of comments. There are plenty coming!
