On the Louis Vuitton AW 2012 campaign

I have always had a special attitude towards LV - not that of dislike but more of curious criticism. The next season's campaign did not leave me indifferent either. 

This quirky shoot of LV girls on a train gives some weird impression of fatality. Really, there is no other word. This concentrated glamour - in all its glory - and exaggarated shapes (especially the eyewear) made me feel like something downright bad was going on in those photos. 

I'm not sure whether it it the lighting that is ominous or the fact that the models dressed all dressed in LV from head to toe seem so disconnected from each other, but thej campaign definitely gives me goosebumps.

Do congradulate me, I'm now a BA in International Economic Relations. To celebrate and sunbathe I packed my bags and went to Mamaia, Romania. Loving the fresh sea breeze and can't wait to go for a swim in the morning. New stuff ahead, baby!

I'm BACK!

I did it! I have finally passed all my exams and got my BA in International Economic Relations. All I have to look forward to is relaxing, sunbathing in Romania, reading Russian classics, hunting for things to blog about and starting my MA course in London this September (the latter is one exciting step for me).

For now, here's my multicolored manicure and an H&M scarf at work. I didn't get this fun nail trend at first, but now I looove it!

Wardrobe sweep tips

Apparently, reorganising your jewelry drawer can do wonders for stress control. I believe that reorganising your wardrobe is the perfect thing to do if you can't make yourself go to sleep. That's exactly what I've been doing for the past hour and a half, although it's already 1:20 a.m. 

I've realised that years of prectice in trying to keep my wardrobe clean and organised have worked up into a few wardrobe sweep secrets, and this is when I share them. =D You may alreadu know this, but here's a checklist:

1. Find good hangers. They don't even have to be expensie, just get ones with round edges or padding for delicate garmets. Bad hangers can be oh so destructive for your clothes. 
2. Buy dividers for drawers. This will keep your lingerie, scarves and belts in perfect condition. Plus good-looking drawers are like eye cand yfor those who are obsessed with organising stuff. 
3. Store footwear in boxes (and properly stuffed with paper if you are not to wear a pair for a while). That's the only way to do it, really. 
4. Get a few aroma sticks or lavenders bags for drawers where you keep garments made of wool. They don't make your clothes smell like hotel towels but they do keep moths at bay. 
5. Stick to the rule "iron, then hang". The rush to iron things in the morning is exhausting.
6. Stick to a colour code in your drawers. This saves a lot of time in the morning. 
7. Make wardrobe sweeps a regular thing, so that you know your essential buys when shopping.
8. Get rid of things that you will never ever wear. Don't lie to yourself, there are some things that don't fit you or are no longer wearable for other reasons. Sell them, give them to charity, your friends or whatever. Doing this will help clear up space for fresh great things.

On wardrobe updates

Having just discovered the joy of online shopping and and and let go of the skepticism towards it I can't tell you how happy I am about this new top from ASOS that I received a week ago. 

I wear it the basic way, teamed with Levi's jeggings and Vans sneakers, but I think clashing the ornamental/geometrical print with polka dots will look very delicious.

The flags and tents behind me, by the way, are a part of the ongoing demonstration in support of Yulia Tymoshenko on Kyiv's main street, and it's been there since June 2011.     

On US dollars

One of my new love affairs is this $ tee that I got from ASOS a few days ago. Fellow students at uni kept saying that it's the perfect outfit to wear to my Financial Mathematics exam. We'll see.

Oh, and this is my lovely friends Nat. You remember her, right?

5 reasons to be happy

I had some exciting three recent days! Still can't decide whether it's because...

1. ... I have finally received my order from Asos, although there was a slight delay. Await new outfits, I just got my dream tee shipped to me. 
2. ... I received my lingerie from Adore Me - a truly fun online store that brings personalized shopping to a new level. Await a post about this, too. 
3. ... I went and finally got myself my first Vans pair. 
4.  ... I have finally finished my coursework and pressed the "print" button. 
5. ... it's finally spring! 

Which one is it, what do you think?

All the online shopping bonanza got me relly excited because -and it's actually true - I have ner shopped online before. It's like Carrie Bradshaw in SATC compares shopping to exercise. I like the whole process, the whole running around the shops, the whole trying stuff on a million times before I buy it. So the ASOS order was something completely new for me. And the Adore Me package is something very special, you'll see.
